PURPOSE-DRIVEN TRAINING AND DELIVERING THE RESULT I WANT

I think I am speaking for all of us about the need to do more exercise. We have the enthusiasm and motivation to get ourselves to the gym, but most of us lack the know-how and direction needed to get exactly what we want. We end up starting and staying on the treadmill, at times wondering into the free-weights area cautiously.

I am one of many regular users of our resident gym, and always am keen when it comes to exercise. However due to the lack of direction I have found myself stuck in a rut, and with little to show for it. I had also become bored of the same repetitive routine. I needed help!!

Cue in Neville, private Health/Fitness coach introduced by a friend and our fellow residents. Neville is not a ‘drill sergeant’ type most of us may imagine. From our initial meeting he asked questions related to my exercise, medical history, diet and fitness goals. He devised a plan specific to what I needed and before I knew it, it was time for our first hour-long session.

Neville was very sensitive to what I was able to do 60 minutes unknowingly passed, in which I learnt invaluable training tips and techniques. He brought a refreshing change and brought most of the current exercises I am doing to shame. The mat we used to stretch at the end told it all, I was soaked in sweat by the end. I don’t think I’ve sweated as much before after a workout, I was energised and motivated to do more in our next session!!
